So you got your 'get away' place in the country and your plans are coming together to 'disconnect' from the madness of the city so you can just mind your own business and be left alone, right? You want to raise a few chickens for eggs, maybe have a goat, a horse, a couple of dogs and be more self sufficient since you certainly can't count on the industrial food supply to provide you with healthy food anymore, right?
Think again. If the US federal government and the mega agri-corps have their way, you'll be federally mandated to essentially have 'birth certificates' for your baby goats, have 'ear tags' put on your chickens and if your horse gets sick, rather than treat it back to good health, the Feds might be coming in to 'sacrifice' it for the common good of the 'national herd'. And they'll send you the bill for all this 'protection' of course.
Not only that, but should one of your neighbors animals get a certain kind of sickness, the Feds might just enforce a 'kill zone' to eradicate all animals in a 12.4 mile radius which would include burning all wooden structures in the process.
Of course, this is for your protection. You must feel good about that, right? Forget about your right to 'peace and property'. Your government is coming to help you. That's most important ! The constitution is now just a little too old fashioned anyway, don't you think?
Does this sound a little bit far fetched ?
Sure it does. But it's an Orwellian reality coming to a 'Fed' near you in the name of the 'NATIONAL ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM' or 'NAIS'
